Some spaces are marked with a question mark, a cross and a piece of dynamite. Each of these spaces have corresponding cards. Question spaces have a question from the lesson. Cross spaces have life application statements pertaining to the lesson which tell of a good choice or decision and usually are accompanied by move ahead one or more spaces. Dynamite spaces have life application statements which tell of the wrong or not the best choice and are usually accompanied by go back one or more spaces. We always play as a team and stay together even when those spaces get crowded! -Jaymie Derden, State St. UMC BELOW LEFT: Game Spinner Below RIGHT: "Jesse
Tree Checkers" An adaptation of Cornerstones (www.cstones.com)
free lesson set, The Jesse Tree. A classroom rug was turned
into a giant checkerboard with masking tape. The checkers
are characters on the Jesse Tree created with game cards
provided with the Cornerstones lesson. The stands are 1/4
dowels glued into wood blocks. The game cards are placed on
2 colors of construction paper and then stapled onto the stands
like little flags. For easy storage, just slip the flags off
the poles and stack. |
