The director will supervise Plymouth’s Sunday School and fellowship programs (preschool, K-5, junior high, senior high). The workshop-rotation model is used for K-5. Plymouth also offers the Our Whole Lives sexuality education curriculum. The program is well developed and is a magnet for children. Qualifications: Prior experience with youth education (volunteer or staff) is required. A bachelor’s degree is required. Preferred: Master’s degree in theology or an education field. Volunteer administration desirable. Skills: Much identification and recruitment of volunteers – as well as collaboration with and delegation to them – is required. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential, as are an open communication style, professionalism, and being a team player. Excellent computer skills are required. The director also must be well organized and self-motivated. He or she must be conversant (though not necessarily an expert) with progressive Protestant theology and must embrace all types of persons as part of the church.
