Zion Baptist Community Church

We are very excited about our introduction into the Workshop Rotation Model.  We've titled our whole program Street 2:52 after the verse found in Luke 2:52.  

We then decorated our main children's hall to look like a street way and as our church has some European roots we decided -to go with that as a decoration theme.  Street 2:52 features 6 spaces that hold 8-10 workshops.  The spaces are as follows:

Loaves & Fishes Cooking Company: Baking and Science

Fishermans.Net: Computer Lab

Thou Art! Studio: Fine Arts

Soul Station: Diorama Building

Bible Times Square: Games and also home to our lifesize Gospel Street boardgame where students review their learning for the rotation

The Chapel/Palestine Productions: Worship area, Movie theatre and Drama workshop

We hired an airbrush artist to do a majority of the artwork and then decorated the rooms with the help of some very dedicated volunteers.  A few of our favourite features are the hand built benches for the kids in the chapel, the 8 ft pencils that decorate our Art Studio and a full size vinyl wall decal of a train.
