Jesus' Birth Foretold, Announced: Gabriel, Mary, Joseph, Elizabeth, Zechariah

The Advent lessons and resources in this particular forum are mostly focused on Matthew 1 and Luke 1's "pre-Birth" stories:  the Angel's announcement to Mary (Luke) or Joseph (Matthew), Luke 1's stories about Mary and Elizabeth and Mary's Song of Joy, and some content on Zechariah's prophecy about John (Luke 1). Some posted content may include references or activities referencing the other familiar parts of the Christmas story from Matthew 2 and Luke 2.

Return to our main Advent story resource forum for links to Matthew 2 and Luke 2 -centered lessons (how the birth took place, the inn, the shepherds, the magi, etc.).

Note! Our Writing Team's "Jesus is Born!" lesson set has lessons covering both Matthew 1 "Gabriel and Mary" and Luke 2's "Journey to Bethlehem" story of Jesus' birth. This set is open to all.
