Jesus' Birth through the Eyes of Simeon & Anna

Simeon holding baby JesusThis forum is collecting lesson ideas and resources for teaching children the Luke 2 story about Simeon and Anna  -- two people who had waited a lifetime to meet the Messiah. While not one of the more popular stories of Advent, the joy and personal impact of Christ's birth in their lives is not to be overlooked.

In Luke 2:21-40, they not only meet the baby Jesus, they are the first humans to proclaim who Jesus is and what he will become: "a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of your people Israel."
