An Interview with Writing Team Members "JULIE B"  and "GRITSGIRL"

JULIE BURTON recently re-joined the Writing Team because, as she said, she was writing lessons for her own church (John Knox Presbyterian in Tulsa) and knew that working with the Team would improve her church's lessons.

Julie says she "loves the theological discussions," which kick-off the Team's process. "What's neat is we all come from different traditions, but always find common ground in our discussions.  It's an amazing learning experience."

Julie often writes the Video workshop lessons for the team because she enjoys finding and teaching about the "theological themes in movies.  Julie Burton is one of our founding members at Rotation.org, and served on the Board in the mid-2000's.

JOY FEEMSTER, aka "Gritsgirl," is in her sixth year of writing for the Team, and says she enjoys writing for every workshop "except puppets....O please don't give me puppets!"

Hailing from the Neely Creek Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church in York SC, Joy says she enjoys how the Team helps her think outside the box, but within a lesson plan framework. Like Julie, she likes working with others from a variety of points of view, as it helps her see the stories anew.
