RESOURCES that cover an overview or multiple PETER STORIES

This thread is collecting resources, lesson plans, and ideas for teaching "about Peter," such as an overview of his life and ministry, or resources that cover many stories about Peter, instead of the usual resource which focuses on one or two stories.

While most Sunday School curriculums typically pick an individual story about Peter, from time to time people will teach a unit "about Peter" that visits several of his stories both as a Disciple with Jesus and as an Apostle in the Early Church (book of Acts).

Resources in this topic are for just such an approach.

If you're looking for a specific single story about Peter, look for it in here in our Bible story forums.

We've placed this "about Peter" topic alongside the resources for teaching the story of Peter's Denial because it's not uncommon to "recap" the importance of Peter as part of a lesson about his denial.

If you need help, post your question or lesson need in the Teachers Lounge.

VIDEO ABOUT PETER

Here's a great video with a focus on Peter's role as a disciple and experience of Jesus.

"Come Follow Me ~ The Way, the Truth, and the Life: --with Bruce Marciano as Jesus. This newer (2014) video shows the life, death, resurrection of Jesus with a tremendous focus on PETER.  Seems originally designed to explain "who Jesus is" to those unfamliar with him and tell his story in a dramatic yet abridged way.

It is really well done. Moving dialog. Peter's transformation from fisherman to denier to believer is all shown.   It stars Bruce Marciano as Jesus (the same guy who portrayed Jesus in the Visual Bible's Matthew video).  This is not simply a rehash of the Matthew video. This has new stuff.

Under $10 for the DVD from Vision Video. They've posted the full thing on YouTube and Vimeo as well.
