Here are some of the comments, questions, and suggestions that were made by participants in the Zoom chat during Dena's presentation on "Ministering to NeuroDiverse Kids":
Laura Range asked: Is there ever competition for the various seating options? How do you navigate that dynamic? We’re redoing our children’s spaces right now. Also wondering what the ratio should be for different kinds of seats as we look to purchase.
Laura Loving: I am looking for a couple of beanbag chairs and glad to hear recommendations.
Amy Coen: Long term cleaning issues with bean bags have caused us to use them infrequently.
Heather DeWit: We have these bean bag chairs from WalMart for a number of years and love them. We've had to add a little stuffing over time.
Tanner: I have some youth call those fluorescent lights the 'demon lights'!!
Allie Atchison: We have offered sensory caves, and quiet spaces for kids and families for each of our events. This helps provide a safe space for neurodiverse kids to go when they need a break from the event. It’s a quiet space with different lighting, some sensory activities, and crafts, and items to help them sensory regulate.
