Wonderful set... as expected!

I couldn't find God's Trombones anywhere and have since learned it is out of print.

Neil updates:  The studio which produced the Story of Creation claymation (part of God's Trombones) has posted it to YouTube!   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jcHxNZIvfh4.

It is narrated by James Earl Jones (whom kids will recognize as Mufasa from The Lion King) reciting "The Creation" poem -- from James Weldon Johnson. The poem was part of his acclaimed 1927 collection of "negro poem sermons" titled "God's Trombones." The poem and visuals are a "version" of Genesis 1 that are both visually powerful and poetically vivid and personal.

Johnson' s Creation Story poem was turned into an Oscar-nominated  "claymation" by Will Vinton, the guy who invented the term "claymation" and did all the California Raisin commercials, among many others. The film features the clay-painting technique of claymation artist Joan Gratz and also included the claymation of Martin the Cobbler and the Prodigal Son. Lucky for us, Keep in mind that it isn't just a video with great visuals and a poem --it shows an art technique!

See it on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jcHxNZIvfh4

Then God reached out and took the light in his hands,
And God rolled the light around in his hands
Until he made the sun;
And he set that sun a-blazing in the heavens.
And the light that was left from making the sun
God gathered it up in a shining ball
And flung it against the darkness,
Spangling the night with the moon and stars.
Then down between
The darkness and the light
He hurled the world;
And God said: That's good!
