Video Helps for Freeze Frame Drama Teachers!

This first video shows various ways to help your actors POSE your Freeze Frames or "Tableaux."

It describes tips for directors and actors about ACTIONS, LEVELS, EXPRESSIONS, and STORYTELLING with your poses

This second "Freeze Frame" video describes the technique as "hitting the pause button" in a story and also shares some ideas about directing and scene transitions:

In this third video, the kids of Victory Baptist have created "freeze frame photos" for the Christmas story and a clever adult has recorded the kids narrating the story, then posted it to YouTube. The smiles tell you they'll be back!

Another way to do this DURING class is to have the kids narrate/read the story as you show their photos.
