List of Veggie Tale Videos that re-tell Bible stories

Here is a list of those Veggie Tale Videos that are largely focused on the RE-TELLING of a Bible story, and thus are particularly helpful to Sunday School. (Some VT videos are less helpful to Sunday School because they have little faith/Bible content in them or there are much better videos available.

To find other or better Bible story videos, look up your Bible story in our Lesson Forums and go to your story's Video Workshop topic.

Update: The company which now owns Veggie Tales has repackaged many of their classic titles and put together some collections. They can also now be viewed and/or downloaded online. Google "watch Veggie Tales online."

I'm also gonna say this about Veggie Tales: Back in the day we were grateful to have them. Wasn't easy to find kid-friendly animated videos. But now it's much easier. Look up your Bible story in our Lesson Forums' Video Workshop topics for our favorites!

The Little House That Stood

Modern take on the Parable of the Wise & Foolish Builders about making good choices.

Abe and the Amazing Promise

The first part of this episode tells the story of Abraham and Sara waiting to have the child. This episode teaches about patience.

Are You My Neighbor?

Teaches about loving one’s neighbor. The Good Samaritan.

Dave and the Giant Pickle

The little guy defeating the big guy recreates the story of David and Goliath to teach about self-esteem.

Duke and the Great Pie War

One part of the video is the story of Ruth and the other is the story of the childhood of Moses and Miriam. The lesson in this episode is about loving one’s family.

Gideon: Tuba Warrior

This episode retells the story of Gideon and teaches about trusting God.

Jonah: A VeggieTales Movie

This was the first VeggieTales movie. The movie tells the basic Biblical story of Jonah in a VeggieTales context. God is forgiving and gives second chances and we should do the same. (longer than other videos)

Josh and the Big Wall

The story of Joshua and the Battle of Jericho in the Bible and about obedience.

King George and the Ducky

Loosely based on the Biblical story of David and Bathsheba. It teaches about selfishness.

Rack, Shack, and Benny

Peer pressure and the Biblical story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.

The Ballad of Little Joe

This episode tells the Biblical story of Joseph set in the Old West. It teaches about facing hardship.

Moe and the Big Exit

Sequel to The Ballad of Little Joe video. Retells the story of Moses leading the Israelites out of Egypt. It teaches about following directions (similar theme to the obedience in Josh and the Big Wall).

Where’s God When I’m Scared?

Based on the story of Daniel and the Lion’s Den. This episode deals with handling fear (only 15 mins).

Noah's Ark

Tells the story of Noah's Ark.  This episode is based on trusting God.

The Wonderful Wizard of Ha's

Based on the story of The Prodigal Son. It does get to the end of the story with the father welcoming the wayward son home with open arms. No segment about the brother. The heavier weight of theme is "you can't always have what you want", more than forgiveness, but it does a reasonably accurate job of following the basic story.
