“The Last Supper" Episode 110 in The New Superbook Series

This 25 minute episode really focuses on the kind of leader Jesus is and the example he sets for his disciples and the young boy Chris.  It includes the foot washing scene but does not spend much time on the "bread and cup." Instead, it focuses more on the kind of person "Chris" needs to learn how to be through Christ's example. It shows the larger context of the Last Supper's story. All in all, a nice "break" from "bread and cup-focused" videos.

Chris is getting big-headed because his band has been invited to audition for an American Idol-like show, called World’s Best Band. To address this issue, SUPERBOOK whisks the kids off to Jerusalem and Chris learns from Jesus that even though Jesus is famous, he was humble and served others during the Last Supper.  The gang ultimately returns home and Chris has a major shift in his attitude towards others.  Lesson:  Jesus is a true King because He serves and He asks us to do the same. The DVD does not have chapter selections.  But, using your remote Next Scene (chapter) button you can move through the scenes.  I've given these Scenes names relating to the general theme of each scene.  They try to cover a lot in 22 minutes, so story events are touched on, but not always in full detail.  They also include the devil in scenes 1 & 9 and Jesus is very cut up and bloody after being whipped (whipping not shown).
