Editor's Note
There are many ways that churches incorporate special needs kids in their Sunday Schools. The following discussion by our members has many ideas.
Please keep in mind that different people use different terms for what are often called "special needs," and that the term "neurodiverse" and description of kids as "typical" and "atypical" are becoming more common. Their differences can be physical, intellectual, and/or emotional, the way they think, learn, and/or behave.
One subject to be included here is how to help ALL our kids and teachers understand and be helpful to those with special needs. Inclusion, compassion, and treating others as you would want to be treated are Christ-like values.

Special Needs Kids in Rotation
I am looking for a name for this class - something that does not scream "special needs." If anyone would like to share ideas or names of similar classes you've seen, I'd sure be grateful.
We are starting a new class for children with special needs and using a modified Workshop Rotation Model with them.
Some of our kids attend our regular program with mentors, but we have a few families who just don't bring their children because they can't be in a regular classroom.
Would also like to hear about your special needs Sunday School experiences and advice.
