Our "Pulling Back the Curtain" forum is a place where aspiring and experienced lesson writers and creative teachers can take a deeper look at the "How To" of writing creative lesson plans.

The opening post in each topic begins with an article by Neil MacQueen* -- the Lead Writer for Rotation.org's Writing Team.

The articles were originally written to help train members of our Writing Team. We have made them public to help those who aspire to write their own creative lessons or curriculum and those who simply want to know more about "how the sausage is made."

The articles reference** many examples from the Team's work. The articles have been reviewed by and include insights from various members of the Rotation.org Board (great educators and lesson writers in their own right). You are invited to add your own insights by 'replying' in the topic.

To our knowledge, these articles are the first and only detailed public discussion about "how to write creative Sunday School lesson plans and curriculum."

We're sharing them in keeping with our site's ecumenical mission to improve Sunday School, and provide a place for teachers and writers to share and go deeper. All of this is made possible by our amazing Supporting Members.

Neil MacQueen, the lead writer of many of these articles, is a Presbyterian minister specializing in Christian education. In addition to being one of the founders of the Workshop Rotation Model for Sunday School and Rotation.org, Neil works as one of our site's content-creators and Writing Team leaders and trainers. He is also known for his work producing 18 interactive Bible software programs. Starting in 2019, the Board asked Neil to describe "how" he approaches studying a Bible story and coming up with lesson ideas. Your insights are welcome. Reply to any of the articles.
